Hello Waves!

The day is almost here for our first summer swim meet of 2025! Yay!

Tomorrow Morning 5/29 we will have practice! Normal times!

• 9 - 9:30am | Junior Waves
• 9 - 9:30am | 6 & under
• 9 - 10am | ages 7-10
• 10 - 11am | 11+.
  We have t-shirts in and will try to hand them out at practice in the morning. Swim caps are unfortunately not here yet. We have extra caps from previous years so if you need one please ask us and we will be happy to give it to you.
• There will be NO evening practice available tomorrow night because of the swim meet.
  PLEASE sign up to volunteer if you have not yet. We still need Clerk of Course Help, Timers, and Lane Parents. Swim Meets cannot happen without Volunteers. We need 30 volunteers to run away meets and 40+ to run home meets. This is how it works for all summer swim teams; volunteer help! Many pools have mandatory volunteer requirements. We don’t want to have to do that so please let’s all help when we can and make this fun for our kids!

  Below you will find information from the Willow Run Pool:
• Willow Run is looking forward to hosting you this week.Willow Run Pool address is 9601 Styers Ferry Road, Lewisville, NC 27023.
• Here are the meet logistics- • Spectators can bring deck chairs for set up. The opposing team spectator area will be on the side of the pool where you enter. We will reserve the covered picnic table pavilion for your swimmers. There are loungers, tables and chairs along your side ofthe pool as well. Please feel free to set up chairs poolside. •
• We ask that no swimmers write on their backs as we have white chairs and the sharpie ink gets on the chairs and loungers and it stains them. Arms are great! • We will plan to use dive overs for the 11 and over events to save time. Although we have overhead deck lighting, Willow Run does not have pool lights. •
• We will sell grill items by the front gate. Hamburger/Cheeseburger plates $8, Hot Dog plates $7, Fry Boats $6, General concessions will also be available at our concessionstand. Cash or card accepted. •
• Parking attendants will be on hand. If you have a large truck/van/SUV, please park in the first lot on your right. All other cars pull around and park close together to allow the most cars to fit in the lot please. There is additional parking behind the tennis courts and alongside the tennis courts. Please do not fuss at our parking attendantvolunteers. They are just doing their best to get all of us in the parking lotHere are some details on timing...•
• Away team coaches/volunteer coordinator/league rep arrival @4:15 PM or after.
• • Home and Away team arrival @ 4:30 PM or after.• Home team warm up @ 4:55-5:10 PM.
• • Away team warm up @ 5:10-5:25 PM.
• • Timers/officials meeting @ 5:15 PM•
• Meet will start @ 5:30 PM.• Each team will provide 6 timers and 2 S&T judges per half.
• I would also add that their pool is not heated so we suggest bringing extra towels, sweatshirts, sweat pants etc to stay warm! We will send another email/remind early tomorrow afternoon with heat sheets and any other last minute changes/info. Phew, think that’s it for now.  Hopefully the rain will hold off.
