Hi all,

For parents, family and friends who cannot make it to the Championships tomorrow but who would like to watch online, the meet will be live-streamed on the Greensboro Aquatic Center Facebook page. From the GAC FB page click on “More” then “Live.” See the attached screenshot for a visual. There will likely be no audio, but viewers should be able to see the races.

FOR BACKSTROKER/IM: Because this meet is indoors, please remind your  backstrokers that they can use the ceiling as a guide to help them swim in a straight line, and thus swim faster. Try it out during warmups!

WHISTLES: The whistle signals are often confusing to swimmers, so we wanted to give the following information a second time. Please make sure your swimmer(s) understand what the signals mean:

● 4-5 short whistle bursts - swimmers should get ready for their heat to be called

● 1 long whistle sound - swimmers should step up on the block (if doing backstroke, this signals swimmers to enter the water feet first)

● a second long whistle will sound for back strokers in the water for them to place their feet and prepare for “Take Your Mark”
